Halloween 2010
bacon
I think bacon is my chocolate. You know how every woman and practically every man love an would even die for chocolate? Are you one of them? I married one. Lucky for him, he gets all the chocolate people give me. Why? cause I don’t like the taste of chocolate.
Yes I’m human. Yes I’m a woman. Yes, I don’t like chocolate. My mother doesn’t, nor my brother nor my sister. It’s a family thing I guess. So when a person asks me what I like in it’s place I shrug and come up blank. Salty foods have always been my downfall but I love them all so much. Motzerella sticks (addicted!), Chips and Salsa (my granmom shakes more salt on the chips at restaurants), and of course bacon. Lovely pepper bacon or apple bacon…they’re all yummy. But the new craze of bacon chocolate? Not so much…at all.
I was cooking tons of bacon (for storage) and realized how much I Â love it. It makes any meal way better. Period. I could almost write a poem about bacon…but I’m not that creative. It’ll probably come out lame. hahaha
Peanut Butter Cookies
So this post will mostly be about peanut butter cookies, which Emma ate 3 of in 5 sec, but the rest will be of nothing but thoughts.
I realized that Emma might be watching too much TV (Brother Bear, Dora, Nature Babies and Barney) Which ever she wants to rotate through. I usually ether wtch one show a day but there are those days when she gets more TV time.
So I told her we were making peanut butter cookies and she said ‘no mama, chocolate cookies’ Which made me laugh. But girlfriend had to concede and go with the peanut butter-ness. What she must suffer (roll of my eyes)
OK peeps= 3 ingredients
1 C Peanut Butter, 1 C sugar, 1 egg
Easy shmeezy, hope you make these and enjoy them! They make only 1 dozen.
Don’t know why I rounded the picture…maybe because the cookies themselves will round out your figure. 🙂
Polish word for today
Today’s word is brought to you by laughter tickling and naps. It’s ‘Childhood’!
Childhood in Polish=Dzieciństwo
This is a picture of some friends of ours in Poland. Weronika and her beautiful daughter. I think being a child and sliding with mommy is a wonderful thing, oth for mommy and baby. 🙂 Hope you enjoy this picture Weronika!
Minestrone
The Pioneer WOman recipe for this last Monday was Minestrone soup. Yum! I have to say I am so sorry for not posting a picture while it was hot and still pretty! With it getting darker outside It hought I would just take a picture the next day in the day light but then later put it into a container and froze it for another time-not even remembering that I still needed to take pictures. So thoughtful for you guys. Sorry.
So I took it out and took a photo of it in it’s frozen state. Gorgeous.
Check out Emily who chose this recipe. 🙂
Apple Pork Steaks
Easy amazing meal that both Trav AND Emma loved. It’s just any cut pork chop (2) you like with chopped apple (2), half a yellow onion, carrots (2) and spices. The spices are just pepper, salt and then cinnamon.
To. Die. For. Promise.
I couldn’t get an after picture cause to family wanted to eat immediately!
I made twice baked potatoes with it. Perfect with the amazing fall weather we’ve been having. Happy Thursday!
Embrace the Camera!
Posing for pictures is sometimes hard. But not that much with her. 🙂 Recently it’s been hard to blog- our lap top has decided to freak out and is threatening to melt itself. Yeah.
Linking to Emily!
Today’s Polish word
Today’s Polish word is…
Przytulny
This word means: COZY. I’m doing this today. Making soup, wearing turtlenecks and eating pumpkin cake. It’s a beautiful thing.
I chose this word because it is blustery, cold and very fall-ish today. I remember walking in Krakow during the Autumn two years ago and it was beautiful. They have many trees that turn color and it’s just breathtaking. Very cool.
Pumpkin Raisin Bread with Vanilla Glaze
Rain. Wind. Wonderful family time resulted in Pumpkin Raisin Bundt Cake with a Vanilla glaze. The mini bundts are sitting inside my freezer waiting for a day when they’ll show their faces and then be eaten. Tough life they have.
I squeezled when they came out and Trav rolled his eyes. Hehe He then ate one and loved it.
Go see her for amazing bundts! She’s doing bundts until November 15th-NATIONAL BUNDT DAY! I’m excited and am trying to think of a really cool cake to  make…
Enjoy the picts 🙂
