…most of the time when I take the camera out…
Travis and I were asked again to take some pictures of some friends. We jumped at the offer! We wondered around downtown Portland and thanked Jesus it wasn’t crazy windy! We had beautiful weather for the beginning of February.
A couple words to discribe this couple: fun, caring, silly and sensitive. A wonderful couple and we’re so happy we’re friends!
My favorite quote of the day was from Chris, who is very…detailed in picture taking. 😉 “Should my lips be on top?” I just laughed. hahaha
**warning, TONS and I mean TONS of pictures coming your way…they just took too many good ones! **
Love having these opportunities to take pictures!
I was asked to take family pictures and jumped at the opportunity. Travis helped by taking some pictures and we both agreed that when are asked again to take pictures we just need another camera.
Anyhoo, it was a beautiful sunny winter morning here in Portland. Perfect! Hope you enjoy looking at these. 🙂
One of my favorites. Real authentic smiles are hard when you have someone in your face with a camera. I usually say stupid things to make myself sound crazy and that makes them laugh. Here, he’s probably thinking, ‘Hon, who did you ask to take our pictures?! She’s a crazy person!’
You know that saying, ‘Boys will be Boys’? These two boys are whom that statement is for. Creative, Energetic, Imaginative and yes a little rowdy. It was fun seeing Brianne chase after them in her beautiful heels. hehehe
Throwing this in to make you smile. Did you have moments like this when you were younger? I think most did in some way. hehehe It always pays to be the oldest.
She had on one of the most adorable pairs of shoes. Which she might find missing from her closet one morning…;)
(For some reason some pictures are coming up blurry on here. Bummer.)
ADORABLE kids huh?! Well, with such good looking parents of course they would have pretty kids! 🙂
A little kissy kiss.
I hope you have a fabulous Monday. 🙂
PS Brianne has an awesome Etsy shopwhere she sells her scarfs (shown above) as well as headbands like the one her daughter is wearing. Check her out!
I was asked by some friends to take their Christmas card pictures.
Um, as long as they knew I’m a major amateur. 🙂 But any chance to practice on new people, I just love it.
So without further stalling, here they are.
Lori and Doug.
They have two turtles, a girl and boy. The boy had so much personality! I couldn’t not take my eyes of him! And he obviously was very curious about me. He had such beautiful handsome markings!
And lastly, the ‘family’ photo we have to take every year. 🙂
Merry Christmas everyone!
Yes I know it’s been forever since I’ve last posted anything. Blah, blah, blah. Just not felt like posting. And the beauty of this blog is that I don’t have to! hah! 🙂
No pressure right? And who knows when any energy will come back into this, but for now here are some pictures of a spontaneous photo shoot with my sister, Jamie while we were in Seattle.
Ugh, while I sit here blogging and trying not to go into Emma’s room and force her to nap (*sigh*), you can look lazily at these pictures. Think of me, and I would even accept a prayer. Today, patience is not with me.
This girl is not afraid of color! She wears the most fun outfits. Love them.
This last one she was cornered into doing. (hey, sisters can do that!) We were at Starbucks and I kept saying,
“OK, smile. Whoops, again. Nope, again. Nope, lets try it again.” Seriously, it was way horrible. Sorry Jamie!
Big beautiful eyes huh. 🙂 OK, now she’s embarrassed and I’ve done my sisterly duty. hehe
**Warning: tons of pictures comin’ your way. Cute ones, but a lot****
We took Monday to go to Mt. Hood to take some family Christmas card pictures. I love how they turned out.
I have learned that it is very important to keep the ‘kissy kiss’ as I call it, in a marriage. I really look forward to taking these type of pictures when we’re old and gray haired. Things get better with age.
Emma wasn’t having a great time. It was either one or the other extreme. Either she was so happy playing in the snow she didn’t want to take pictures, or she was too cold and didn’t want to take pictures. This is why there’s lots of Travis and I.
I cannot tell you how cold we were when we were done. The fireplace made all the females happier.
(aka: no more drama)
And of course, Emma and Rylee….
We went with some friends and got some good shots of them too.
Their last name starts with ‘G’, thus the G in the picture.
***Check out my blog tomorrow for the bloopers. Yes, Amy I said that. muahaha!****
I have decided to join some other bloggers to do a 30 day challenge. We are following a fun list of things to take a picture of every day for a month. It would be awesome to have you join in on the fun! Just let me know so I can follow ya. 🙂
I have a great friend who I was able to take some pictures of, for her blog. She sells fabulous scarfs and is about to open an Etsy store! I’ll let you know when she does, you’ll love it!
Not only am I learning more about taking pictures of people, but this is a free way of shamelessly promoting my handmade ‘artisan’ products…and…..
This is totally going to embarrass her too so it’s just one more fabulous reason to post this. 😉
This black and white is my favorite. GORGEOUS.
I hope you like these- I do! It was impossible to take bad pictures of her- she is too beautiful. 🙂 One of her favorite colors is yellow, so…..
I’ll only limit this post to maybe 5 pictures. Or 10. 😉
The beautiful, lightweight, flirty, girly necklace was made by me. 😉
Go check her blog out and say hi!
“This is SO feels like I’m taking my senior high school pictures.” Brianne
“Yeah, only this is way cooler! It’s like, your awesome blogging ‘Hi!! Look at me! This is my blog’ picture!!” Me
“Uh huh.” Brianne
OK, end of photo overload, you found the end of this post.
I’m ending it with another favorite.
I don’t pretend to be a professional photographer. I do not have the equipment or the education. But as I was looking at some photo shots, I thought, ‘I could kinda do that.’ So here is my attempt.
I kinda only had one model. And she’s too young to say no. 😉
and lastly,
I am limited with the photo editing I have now but I think it may be changing soon. (*cough, Travis)
What do you think? They’re not the ‘professional amazing quality’ but I’m pretty happy with them!
Happy Monday everyone!
Yesterday’s downtown adventure was full of tons of fun! (pictures coming) The sun graced us with her presence and now, thanks to her- I am the butt of all red neck jokes.
Before I realized what was happening I was blissfully taking random pictures of beautiful Portland. Which one is your favorite?
*All pictures are my own and would appreciate you not ‘borrowing’ them without my knowledge. Thanks.
(my favorite is the brick wall. LOVE the texture)
Have I mentioned I LOVE cities? 🙂
*Hope you have a wonderful night dahlings.
